The technical landscape is complex: multiple SDKs, sophisticated cloud deployment systems, rigorous security requirements, and infrastructure that needs to perform flawlessly under massive load. When you're building tools that thousands of telecom installers rely on daily, or e-commerce applications that enterprise clients use to manage their entire telecommunications portfolio, there's no room for error.
Over nearly eight years of partnership, we've been entrusted with direct access to TELUS infrastructure and teams. That level of trust isn't given lightly in the telecommunications industry. It's earned through consistent delivery, deep technical competence, and a genuine understanding of how critical these systems are to both TELUS and their customers.






the approach
We didn't just work alongside TELUS; we embedded ourselves in their evolution. We watched and learned as TELUS Digital grew into a technical powerhouse, building some of the best tech infrastructure and teams in Canada. And we grew with them, consistently positioning ourselves at the bleeding edge of their technical landscape.
When TELUS released new SDKs, we were among the first teams to launch production applications through them. We worked closely with their development teams to identify bugs, iron out deployment issues, and help refine the tools that other teams would eventually rely on. This wasn't about being first for bragging rights; it was about understanding the infrastructure deeply enough to build robust, scalable solutions on top of it.
Our engagement included a direct client team embed lasting roughly four months, where we worked within the Home Solutions team building and maintaining e-commerce applications for services like home internet, cable, and security systems. This immersion gave us invaluable knowledge not just about building applications, but about scaling infrastructure, growing teams, and truly leveraging code as a digital asset.
the solution
The breadth of our TELUS work spans the entire technical stack. We've worked with NGINX configurations that route traffic to applications, contributed to their Software Development Kits, and built deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and cloud delivery systems. At one point, we built and maintained the single largest individual team microsite on their Sitebuilder platform, powered entirely by the Contentful headless CMS.
One of our most significant engagements was with the IQ team, responsible for the e-commerce application that massive scale corporate and government organizations use to manage their telecommunications assets. Over multiple years and several project iterations, we crafted an entirely new React based frontend that brought this critical enterprise tool into a modern framework.
We also built the first production web application using TELUS's first generation starterkit, working closely with their development teams to find and resolve issues in the cloud deployments powering the infrastructure. That application became a critical resource for thousands of telecom installers across Canada, providing a single endpoint for installation guidelines, safety resources, and technical documentation that field teams could access live on site.
Beyond web applications, we developed multiple iterations of in-store digital kiosk applications for both TELUS and Koodo Mobile using the web application starterkits. These installations powered displays in retail locations across the nation, giving consumers clear insights into the breadth and depth of TELUS's service offerings.

The installer resource platform we built serves thousands of field technicians daily, consolidating what was previously a scattered collection of PDFs and legacy systems into a single, reliable endpoint.
Perhaps most importantly, this partnership has given us deep knowledge in how to build and scale not just infrastructure, but teams and processes. We've learned how to leverage code as a true digital asset and how to transform customer and commerce experiences at national scale.
